'She has 5 legs': Puppy born with an extra leg in place of a normal tail makes an adorable debut with doggo lovers

You know how when your dog gets excited, they start wagging their tail really hard? Yeah, well, with this pupper, it's going to be giving out very rapid high-fives instead!

I've seen plenty of puppies make their grand internet debut before. Some arrive with floppy ears too big for their tiny heads (just like mine did), and some arrive with paws that look like they were accidentally ordered in XL. But this little princess puppy? She came into the world with an extra special surprise.

In the video below from Reddit, a teeny tiny gray puppy is gently held up for us all to admire her… additional leg? Yes, you read that correctly - instead of a regular little puppy tail, this baby appears to have an extra leg. It's one of those visuals that makes your brain pause for a second before your heart immediately floods with dopamine, saying, "Okay, but she is perfect."

Naturally, the internet did what the internet does best when presented with a tiny animal and a highly specific assignment: it helped name her. And somehow, the result was both glamorous and completely ridiculous in the best possible way. Her name is Chanel #5.

Not Chanel. Not Five. Chanel #5. A name with elegance, drama, and just enough silliness to belong to a puppy who entered this world with one extra appendage than expected.

We know she may need special care as she grows, and hopefully she has humans who are watching over her closely. But for now, her debut is pure puppy magic. Soft gray fur, tiny sleepy face, little pink paws, and a whole lot of doggo lovers instantly falling in love (me, I'm the doggo lover in question).

No matter what you thought of Project Hail Mary, we can all agree that Rocky was the star of the movie. Do you know how much work it must have taken to give a CGI character with no face, no visible expressions except body language, such emotional depth throughout a 2+ hour-long movie? Good work, James Ortiz.

In all likelihood, they'll probably have to remove this extra limb. But that's okay, there are many tailless dogs that have happy, fulfilling lives. Chanel #5 will just have to have a very expressive and active behind. We do love us some rump-wiggles.
